Literacy
We have been reading Secrets of a Sun King in Literacy. This story is about the Egyptians so we have been able to apply our learning from our Topic across the curriculum. Our knowledge of hieroglyphics has come in very handy when we have been trying to find out what an important scroll said!
Maths
In Maths we have been measuring different lengths and converting the measurements into mm and cm. Once we were confident with this, we progressed on to calculating the perimeter of different shapes.
Science
This term, we are learning about the importance of the different parts of a plant. We know that the roots of a plant have important jobs but we are currently observing to see how the roots are formed. We have used glass jars to plant beans so that we can see the roots breaking through the shell.
