On behalf of the whole community of Our Lady’s, may I welcome you to our school website.
We hope that you will find all of the information you are looking for and that the website will give you an insight into the life at our wonderful school.
Being the Headteacher of Our Lady’s gives me great pleasure. I am fully committed to the community of Our Lady’s and strive to ensure that the school serves our local children and their families well.
I believe our school is very special. Our Lady’s enjoys a reputation as a happy and caring Catholic primary school. We are proud of our academic achievements, our friendly purposeful atmosphere and the extra curricular provision made available to our pupils.
We expect the highest standards from our pupils in all aspects of school life, in their attitudes to learning and in their behaviour. Our Lady’s staff are committed, talented and professional, providing a caring, safe and supportive learning environment for our pupils.
We try to encourage at all times an active partnership with parents, pupils, governors and parish to help ensure the best possible education for each one of our pupils.
We hope you like our website; however, if there is anything else you would find useful please let us know through the ‘Contact Us’ page. You are very welcome to visit and experience our outstanding school for yourself – learning and loving together; we grow with Jesus.
As headteacher, I am always able to make time to talk to parents, so please do not hesitate to ask.
I look forward to meeting you and your child.

New Year Welcome
Welcome back and happy new year to all members of our Our Lady’s school community. I trust you had a happy and peaceful Christmas. The children have come back very positively as usual. I am sure that like me you have been very confused and frustrated by the many government announcements and most recent recommendations. Please note that all decisions made are always made in the best interests of the community and in conjunction with Public Health.

See below for the dates of our class assemblies this term:
Y2 Thursday 27th January

Should Covid circumstances change we will of course revert back to inviting parents/carers into school to watch each performance. As you can see Y6 are not on the list as they have a particularly busy period this term. They will of course be doing a leavers’ assembly at the end of the Summer term.

Fr Kevin's 70th Birthday
On Tuesday of this week Father Kevin celebrates his 70th birthday and all of the parish community would like to wish him many happy returns. Thank you for your kind donations to his birthday present which I will present to him on the Tuesday morning Mass with our Gift Team from our school. We are very lucky as a community to have such a supportive priest.
The Brick Charity
One of our own pupils, Harry Bradshaw, entered the Christmas Card competition to design a Christmas Card for the Brick charity and was a runner up! This card has now been commissioned and is on sale to raise much needed funds for our local area. The Brick offers a huge range of services to people who are homeless, in poverty or facing debt crisis. If you would like to buy this Christmas card and help to support this worthwhile charity then visit

Advent & Christmas Service
This Thursday, our Year 4 will lead our Advent service via TEAMS in school. This service will enable us to come together to celebrate and reflect upon the time of year. I’m sure that Y4 will do a fantastic job of reminding everybody that this is a time of preparation in celebration of the birth of Jesus. The Advent service can be accessed via the following link on Thursday 2nd December at 11:00am.
All parents, families and friends are also welcome to join us for our Christmas service via TEAMS on Thursday 9th December. The service will be at the usual time of 11:00am. And can be accessed via the following link.
The children continue to work hard in preparation for our nativity this year. All pupils have been working hard and sound fantastic! On Tuesday 14th December, we will be releasing our Christmas video to our families via our school website. We hope that this approach will enable families to enjoy this Christmas event with their children due to there being no live audience for our nativity this year.
