It’s been another exciting and creative week for Year 2!

In science, the children have been busy exploring our school’s micro habitats. They worked together with parents to build their very own bug hotels, carefully placing them around our outdoor areas.

Now comes the exciting part—waiting to see if any spiders, worms, snails or other mini-beasts decide to check in for the night! The children are looking forward to observing which creatures might make these cosy homes their own.

In Art, we have been travelling back in time to the Stone Age. The class has explored different creative techniques including rolling and stamping, rubbing, printing and pressing. They used these skills to design and create their own Stone Age inspired prints, experimenting with textures and patterns just like early artists might have done. We’ve been so impressed with their creativity and enthusiasm!

Well done, Year 2 for another fantastic week of learning 👏
