Wigan LA will only offer ONE school place to each child, please ensure you select Our Lady's as your first choice in order to secure the best chance of being offered a place at our school. If you would like to discuss your application please do not hesitate to contact us on 01942 832299.
For each new September intake there are 30 places at school for Reception Year children, if 30 children or less apply for a place ALL children who apply will be offered a place, however if more than 30 children apply, places will be allocated with reference to the school's Admissions policy. As at 13th May 2025 we have a small number of places available in Y4 & Y5

I am honoured to be the Headteacher at Our Lady’s R.C. Primary School. We are a very unique and distinct school who enjoy excellent academic achievements as well as developing each child into life-long learners, ready to make a difference in the wider community.
We expect the highest standards from our pupils in all aspects of school life, including their attitudes to learning and their behaviour. I work alongside a fantastic and committed staff team who are passionate, talented and strive to go above and beyond for our pupils.
At Our Lady’s, we strongly encourage a positive and active relationship with our parents, pupils, governors and the parish to ensure our children receive the best education.
As Headteacher, I am always available to make time to talk to parents, so please do not hesitate to ask or to make an appointment. I look forward to meeting you in the near future.

Y6 SATs
A very big well done and good luck to our Year 6 class completing their SATs papers, this week. They have worked incredibly hard throughout the year and we are very proud of their dedication and commitment throughout Year 6.
Walk to school week
Next week is Walk to School Week.
Your child’s efforts will be recorded in class and will receive a sticker for every day that they walk. The Key Stage class that has the most walkers at the end of the week, will receive extra break time on Friday 23rd May.
We understand that it may not be possible for everyone to walk to School from home. To solve this, we introduced the 5 Minute Walk Zones within a short distance from school so that you can park and walk from these locations.

Social Media
Please can all parents be vigilant and monitor your child’s activity on social media. We have become aware of group chats on Snapchat and WhatsApp called. “Add Anyone” that involve children adding ‘random’ people to the chat. As always, we will be increasing our Online Safety lessons and advice to the children, but would encourage all parents to ensure they are fully aware of the content and apps your child is accessing.
