In DT Year 3 have been baking pita bread! This has links to our History topic where we looked at Ancient Sumer and some of the foods they may have prepared and eaten thousands of years ago. Pita is a traditional bread around the Middle East and we thought that our pita breads were scumptious!

Our recent science topic has been looking at the properties of rocks and what makes each rock unique. We have been placing rocks into different groups to help us understand just how different they are. Some have marbling but some don't, some rocks can break down easily but others can't. Some rocks have interesting patterns on them, but some are plain and simple.

Year 3 have been loving there new Art topic where we have been diving into the world of Yayoi Kusama. Yayoi is known for her vibrant colours and her amazing fruit and vegetable art pieces. Her scultpures are world famous, so soon Year 3 they be channeling their inner Yayoi to create their very own using clay!

From the start of the new academic year in September 2026, all children (except Reception) will be expected to come to school dressed in their full PE kit on their allocated PE days, instead of their usual school uniform. School PE kit includes: · Navy PE shorts · Plain white t-shirt/white with navy capped sleeve PE top (preferred) · New School PE tracksuit – navy/white tracksuit bottoms and navy/white long sleeve zip jacket embroidered with the school badge
