Year 2 Weekly Update

Year 2 have worked incredibly hard this week and have continued to show great enthusiasm for their learning!

Maths: We have been learning how to estimate numbers on a number line and have also been exploring fact families, thinking carefully about the links between addition and subtraction.

English: We have been busy drafting diary entries from the perspective of Boxton the rat, who witnessed the Great Fire of London. The children have been working hard to use descriptive language and include details that help bring their writing to life.

PSHE: We have been learning about Catholic Social Teaching and thinking about how we can follow in Jesus' footsteps in our lives today. The children have shared some thoughtful ideas about how we can show kindness, compassion and care for others.
