YR- Week Commencing 19.10.26

We have had such a fun last week to our first ever term in Reception! Our week started off with our wonderful class assembly all about autumn. We were super proud of the children for their wonderful speaking in front of so many people. We have finished off our learning about Autumn this week. The children explored what happens to some animals in Autumn time and used some excellent vocabulary such as hibernate and migrate. Wow! We also got creative and made our own leaf people using the autumn leaves that we collected from the outdoor area in school.

In maths, we explored the composition of 4 using the dots. We found so many different ways that we could make 4 and described each one using our mathematical talk. Finally, we finished off our week with a whole school trip to the cinema to watch Shaun The Sheep followed by a class party in the afternoon. The children were an absolute pleasure to take and we all had the best time!
