YR- Week Commencing 21/9/26

This week, we have been reading 'Owl Babies'. The children have been busy creating a story map with actions to retell the story. We spoke about the Owl Baby family and then compared this to our own family. We recorded this on our family tree in our Learning Journey Folders. In maths, we have been exploring 3 and 4. The children found different ways to make 4 using the interlocking cubes and we also made some subitising cards for '3' in our maths floorbook. In RE, we did a recap of our learning of the Creation story by drawing God's creations on the playground in chalk. We then started to explore 'prayer' and how we can be friends with God.

Finally, we have been practising our fine motor skills using our pincer grip to put peg beads into the boards to make a square.
