YR- Week Commencing 28/9/26
We have been busy exploring 'The Colour Monster' this week. We have been thinking about how we can recognise different emotions like the ones in our book. We then made a fabulous story map and used the puppets in provision to help us to retell the story.
In maths, we have been looking at sorting. We helped Cheeky Charlie to sort the bears into different groups by creating our own sorting rules. We spoke about sorting by size and by colour. The children then explored sorting the buttons by colour in provision. In RE, we thought about how we are all part of God's family. We painted our hands and connected them together to remind us that we are all part of one big family. We then thought about how being in God's family is different to being in our own families at home.
In phonics, we have introducted some new sounds from Unit 2. The sounds we now know are s, a, i, t, m, n, o ,p. The children did a fabulous job forming some of these in provision using their super pencil grip.
