YR- Week Commencing 7/9/2026

We have had such a wonderful start to school. This week, the children have been busy exploring our classroom, making new friends and getting used to new routines.

Some of our favourite areas have been the construction area and the creative area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our PE session with Wigan Warriors on Tuesday. We played some fun games to get our bodies moving and we even had a go at playing some parachute games at the end.

We have started our first unit of maths this week where we have been exploring subitising. We met our friends Numberblock 1 and Numberblock 2 and played their spotty game on the carpet. Some children even went into provision to find their own 1 and 2 subitising dots.

The children have all shown their summer activity bags to tell us a little bit about what they have been up to over summer. It has been lovely to get to know the children more as we looked through them.
