Year 2 - Week Commencing 04.05.2026

We have had a very busy and productive week in Year 2!

In English, the children have been focusing on writing instructions. Our topic has been how to protect our planet, and the class has come up with some fantastic ideas about ways we can all help care for the environment after reading our book - Somebody Swallowed Stanley.

In PSHE, we have been exploring the story of the Good Samaritan. This has led to thoughtful discussions about kindness, helping others, and what it means to be a good “neighbour.” The children have shared some wonderful ideas about how they can show care and consideration to those around them both in school and at home.
